Longings and Loathings - Chapter 7

The last words

I am tired...

The days go by and I barely notice them...
The hours seem long but in a heartbeat it is a whole new week, a whole new month, a whole new year...

The silence of my solitude drove me insane and ultimately numb...
I could kick a stone as hard as I could and I wouldn't feel a thing...

I could trace the path of my veins with the edge of a dagger and only see the red that would escape.
The source of life only as a reminder of color...

I move to my balcony and look outside at the people walking in the streets...
Little ants, always running in search of something. Family, work, money, sex, success...

I imagine myself laying in the floor on one of those streets near death and I see all those faces and feelings I am no longer able to express or feel. Disgust, pity, horror, judgement, sadness...

Maybe today I could jump...
Who would miss me anyway?
Yes, maybe one last act of impulsivity to be able to feel...
Feel through the eyes of the little ants, how wonderful that would be...

                                                   *

"Vehicle 49, we have a jumper on 3rd Street"

The radio squeaks and the words came out automatically, not the first I had to communicate it.
The city is brutal and without mercy.
People give up every day and I am but a spectator to all the gore.
Everything is unchangeable, immutable and hopeless. How I wish I was numb to the violence, numb to the world around me.

What Hides in the Dark - Taking the lead

"Patrolling has become a real pain lately. When are you going to let me take the lead Angie?"

Angie dismissed his comment with a simple wave of her hand and continued her relaxed walk holding her favorite crossbow hanging down. She was so used to having it there on her hand that it was almost like an extension of her arm.

"Don't call me Angie. You know you are way too sure of yourself to take the lead. I don't want you to get yourself killed, especially if the lead we got on the couple was correct."

Brad started to kick the stones on his way, taking deep breaths to prevent from having another burst of anger. He measured his words, considered well what he was to reply and what eventually come through his mouth was nothing but another proof of the cockiness she accused him with.

"I saved you last night and you know I can handle myself well. You are the one getting overprotective of me."

She halted and turned to face him. The look on her eyes was a mixture of anger, hurt and most of all disappointment. Her voice was stone cold unlike the words that came out, making it even more awkward to  simply say what she needed to say.

"Listen to me, you were the one pressing that I got involved with you. I warned you of the consequences of that. If it was just sex like I wanted, it wouldn't have gotten this way and you know it. Do you think I like to bring you with me now?"

She shrugged and took a long look to their surroundings before continuing her patrol leaving him behind. He followed her as he always did and imitated her actions, trying to hear something unusual or catching any movement in the dark.

"Angie, I care about you too but I am not going to stop doing what I have to do. I never did before you gave me a chance to something more and that isn't going to change now."

"But it changed for me!!" She yelled. "Why couldn't it be..."

She fell on the floor and hitting her head hard. The sound of her lips as she became unconscious was like a hit on his stomach. He looked around again as silently as he could, pondering where did the attach came from.

"Angie, get up! Angelina?" He took two steps in her direction and understood the error of that. She had lost her focus and stood in open view making her an easy target and now she was also an excellent decoy for him.
"Well, great..." He said to himself sarcastically. "I wanted a chance to lead and there it is."

He tried to focus on everything but the fallen body of her partner, which wasn't easy. Everything was eerie silent and he needed to make a decision quickly. He cursed himself mentally and went for Angie, he grabbed her and carried her out of sight. He laid her body a tree and went into a crouch keeping her behind him.
A laugh echoed into the night and he felt fear creeping upon him.

"One little piggy went to the park..." A male voice said.
"Two little piggies went to the tree..." A female voice said.

In a flash there they were in front of them, Siegfried and Marguerite, the ones they had been hunting now hunting them.
Marguerite smiled revealing her fangs instantly while Siegfried laughed and for the first time in a long time Brad was almost speechless, managing only to express...

"Oh shit..."

November came and gone - My NaNoWriMo experience

During the last month I entered a literary movement called NaNoWriMo.
This movement consists in challenging you to write a novel with 50,000 words during the month of November. It can be in any genre you wish, so you can easily select a theme that you feel comfortable with.

Much to my own fault and some sickness on the way I failed to accomplish the goal and ended only with 37,700 words.

However it was really important for me to have this experience, the challenge, the way the organisation keeps sending you pep-talks and helping you to thrive and not to lose hope that you will be able to accomplish that word count is really important. They focus on keeping you motivated and that by the simple fact that you tried, succeeding or not, you are already a winner.

I did it to prove myself that I could do it and although I didn't, it allowed me to learn and recognise my faults as a writer. It showed me what I need to improve, mainly it showed me that I would have reached that word count easily if I had sat in front of my laptop everyday during November...

NaNoWriMo is a program  from The Office of Letters and Light, they are a non-profit organization that besides the one I entered also organises The Young Writers program (also in November) and Script Frenzy (April).

I find it amazing that these type of initiatives exist and bet on stimulating creativity on people.
The below is taken from their website, so that you can get a good grasp at what they are aiming.
I have added a couple of related links below where you can find more information about their programs.

I know I am participating again in 2012, are you? And next time I will be a "real" winner too!

"We believe in ambitious acts of the imagination.
The Office of Letters and Light organizes events where children and adults find the inspiration, encouragement, and structure they need to achieve their creative potential. Our programs are web-enabled challenges with vibrant real-world components, designed to foster self-expression while building community on local and global levels."

What Hides in the Dark - Darkness

Brenda woke up inside the wrecked car, the glass from the broken car window was everywhere along with the stuffing from the car seats.
It took her a moment to recall where she was and what had happened... Bruce.

The creature.... She thought and tried not make a sound as much as possible.
She felt herself shake uncontrollably and her first urge was to scream for help but it was still dark and she had no way of knowing if the creature still wondered close by to the car.

She remembered how the glass shattered, the creature was coming straight at her but it left her there.
Why?

She took a deep breath and started to raise herself as quietly as possible. The rustling of the broken glass over her making her hold her breath at each inch that she lowered her body. Everything around her was deadly silent, she feared for her brother and she needed to find him.

"He may be dead... He may be dead." She began muttering. She peeked over the shattered window and saw nothing but the creapy woods and the marks left by Bruce'shands trying not be dragged away. She began shaking incontrollably and panic started to take over her at each passing second.
A sound came from the woods breaking the silence of the night, an animalistic growl.
She started to struggle with the safety belt and with shaky hands she released it.

She tried to open the door but it refused to give in, she heard the rustling of something moving and again the horrifying sound.
She raised herself from the bench and started to slide herself out of the car through the broken window.
"Shit..." she muttered as she cut herself  on the sharp edges of the window, the smell of blood overwhelmed her and she realized the consequences of her cut as the howl started to approach her.

She tried to run back the way her and brother had driven from, but everything was pitch black. She struggled not to look back as she ran, her body fighting to keep conscient, her legs moving on pure survival instinct.

Then she heard it and looked back... She screamed and almost lost her balance as she turned her back on the now pursuing creature. No, no, no.... Please...

"Someone help me, please!" She yelled but no lights but the one of moon were around, she sensed it coming close and strength beginning to faulter.
On that moment she realized she was going to die.

She tripped and feel hard on the floor, digging the glass pieces deeper into her hands and legs. She cried, staining her clothes with the bloodied tears running down her face.  She turned herself on the floor to face the creature and watched with anhorrified expression as the creature gave the final jump in her direction.

"Noooooooo!"
A gun shot sounded from behind her and then... Darkness.

Longings and Loathings - Chapter 6

I have to get home...
To...To... catch him... No excuses this time.

Gabriela felt it. She felt it in her core that something had changed, that he wasn't the same.
The late hours, the scents, the dodgy phone calls he picked up only in another room and now she knew she was there...
She entered as quietly as possible into the house and approached the semi-closed bedroom door and looked inside.
There he is between her legs...
She felt her anger stir inside of her, but something held her back from entering, from confronting them.
Instead, she stood there and watched. Without even noticing, Gabriela instinctively slid her fingers down while watching them, unconsciously, and touched her core.

                                       *

Eating her felt so good, she was so willing and fresh.
She moaned loudly "Ah fuck... so good..." she lowered her hands to my head and grabbed my hair, pushing me more... moving against my face.

Gabriela used to be like that...

I licked her tight hole quickly and in circles before diving my tongue deep into her core and savour her flavour.

"God I missed this pussy." Oh yes, she was good before I married Gabi and then even better.
"Mmm Stephen..."

She moaned my name and I felt her breath go faster, the feel of my tongue worked on her pussy, making her want more, driving her wild.

"Let me have you... Please..."
"Let you have me? How?"

She moaned louder pushing me against her dripping wet pussy, making my member twitch then and now as I remember it.

"I want your cock...Fuck my mouth with your cock..."

I grinned to her request and continued to lick her bottom.

"If you want to suck my cock just ask for it."
"Let me suck you... Please... give it to me...Stephen."

I waitted and then sat back confirtably and smiled at her. I called her with a simple nod

"It's yours babe."

She pushed me on further on my back and placed herself between my legs, I watched her lick her lips and then her palm before grabing the base of my sex. She started stroking its base while the the tip of her tongue begun caressing the head, her tongue tracing my slit and then moved back to tease the frenulum.
The feeling of her pressing her tongue there made me shiver and curse loudly.
She continued to lick over my hard cock, tracing its contours, tasting the flavour of my escaping pre-cum.

Oh God... Yes...

She lowered her head further and took me whole in her mouth, moving up and down, sucking on me and it felt like bliss. That was when I noticed the almost closed door and the big green eyes watching Sarah and me on our bed.
Confusion ran through my mind, I wanted to warn Sarah, wanted her to stop because my wife was at the door but something wasn't right.

She has been watching... But she said nothing...

I swallowed as I saw her opening the door a bit further.

She knows I've seen her but... Oh  Ohh...

Gabriela's skirt was up and her fingers touching her clitoris and rubbing down her labia and she wanted me to know, she wanted me to see.
The high that brought me was overwhelming and I came more of my wife's little show than of Sarah's dirty mouth...

Bits and Pieces - Untitled

You speak...
You cry...
You scream...
Whines and complaints that don't have an effect

You ask...
You demand...
You beg...

Forgiveness and acceptance that will not favour you

You dream...
You hope...
You wait...

Understanding and trust that are beyond your reach

You despair...
You expect...
You resign...

For nothing is what you believed and the world is a closed nut shell
Its inside nothing but the memory of fruit
Dry and rotten
Succumbed to its own faults.

Bits and Pieces - The Love of a Vampire

I can feel your presence
Your hot breath on my neck
My senses are heightened
You reach out to me
Wanting me to come to you
I open to you completely
Suddenly I am there in your arms
The feeling is so intense
Our eyes speak to each other
Our hearts beat in time
Our minds merge and we are one
I feel your tongue on my neck
Then exquisite pain
In an instant we are connected
Bonded for all eternity
Never to be parted
The miles cannot separate us-nothing can .
